Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nurse Aide I for 7N Surgery Orthopedics at Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy in Charlotte, NC. The 24-hour weekly night shift runs from 7pm to 7am, with weekend and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living activities, measuring vital signs, helping with hygiene, and maintaining clean rooms. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, current Nurse Aide I registry, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for new hires.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists with personal hygiene and comfort.
• Takes vital signs and measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients per procedures.
• Maintains patient rooms in clean, orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient conditions.
• Orients patients and families to unit and safety measures.
• Performs clerical tasks including phones, data entry and medical records.
• Maintains stock supply items in inventory management.
• Performs Nurse Aide I tasks as per state requirements.
• Performs 12-lead ECG and routine venipuncture when trained.
