Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I/II for 36 hours per week at the Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy—Nursing: 7N Surgery Orthopedics in Charlotte, NC. Day shift from 7am to 7pm with weekend and holiday requirements.

You will support patients with daily living activities, take vitals, assist with hygiene, and perform basic clinical tasks. BLS and Nurse Aide certification are required, with DFS Registry listing preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as a Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Takes vital signs and measurements.
• Provides personal hygiene assistance.
• Assists with feeding and mobility as directed.
• Maintains clean and organized patient rooms.
• Observes and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Documents data entry and medical records as required.
• Maintains stock and supplies in inventory.
• Performs tasks per Nurse Aide I/II scope of practice.
• Performs ECG and venipuncture as trained.
