Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a part-time Night Shift Clinical Education Resource Nurse (CERN) for Parkview or Parkview Pueblo West. The role covers Acute and Critical Care units, providing onsite education to nurses with <2 years of experience. The position is 0.6 FTE with an option to job share up to 0.9 FTE, onsite only.

Requirements include a BSN, RN license, BLS, and 2 years of nursing experience; Charge Nurse or CCU/preceptor experience is preferred. Competitive pay and strong benefits accompany employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current RN license and BLS/CPR certification.
• 2 years nursing experience; Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• In-patient/CCU/preceptor experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification must be valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Makes rounds with oriented/ recently off-orientation nurses to provide education and clinical support.
• Collaborates with unit educators and preceptors to assess learning needs of clinical nurses.
• Delivers new staff orientation content on clinical competencies, policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical IT usage.
• Delivers learning activities and mentorship to new clinical staff; evaluates performance with unit leadership.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
