Riverside Health seeks an Outpatient Neuro Speech Therapist in Newport News, VA to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in outpatient settings. The role includes aural rehabilitation for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and AAC support for complex communications needs.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and VA licensure; CCC-SLP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• 1 year of Speech Language Pathology experience preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia Upon Hire.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
• Offer AAC systems for expressive/language disorders such as ASD or neurodegenerative conditions.
• Train family/caregivers and other professionals.
• Carry out and adjust treatment plans to meet discharge criteria.
• Record patient progress and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Assist in training and support of team members, volunteers, and students.
