Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Network Engineer 2 (Part-Time) for Kauai, HI. Supports classified/unclassified PMRF networks, configures routers/switches/firewalls and handles cyber security tasks in a DoD environment.

Responsibilities include planning, escalation support, CM, and reporting, with opportunities for junior staff training. Requires DoD exposure, two years in network admin, and an AS or equivalent with substitutions.

Qualifications

• Two (2) Years of Network Administration experience.
• Knowledge of IT networks and advance IT networking concepts.
• Must be proficient in operating personal computers, computer software and standard office equipment.
• Must have basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting.
• Critical thinking - Proven problem solver
• Good written and oral communication skills are required including the ability to organize.
• Experience with DoD systems and infrastructure (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, and configures all network engineering hardware and software for classified/unclassified networks.
• Develops engineering, security implementation, and integration plans for new network systems.
• Provide escalation support for junior team members and training as required.
• May perform duties as a Contract Task Manager (CTM) for TI work.
• Tracks and reports status on day-to-day and project activities.
• Performs Cyber Security tasks using STIGs, SCAP, SRR scripts, ACAS/Nessus.
• Maintains 100% network device compliance with DoW IAVM programs.
• Configures and maintains network management platforms and reviews audits/logs.
• Prepares status/technical reports and procedures for management and customers.
• Participates in Configuration Management and SCR preparation.
• Interfaces with management and customers for awareness of developments and security posture.
• Documents work and maintains Visio diagrams for topology and design.
