Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Network Engineer 2 for Kauai, HI to support PMRF mission networks. Responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and managing/network security across classified and unclassified infrastructures.

The role requires DoD 8570 IAT II certification, familiarity with STIGs, and ability to work in field and sea environments. A TS security posture and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of Network Administration experience.
• Knowledge of IT networks and advanced IT networking concepts.
• Proficient in operating personal computers, software and standard office equipment.
• Basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy.
• Critical thinking - proven problem solver.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, and configures network hardware and software for classified and unclassified networks.
• Develops engineering, security implementation, and integration plans for new network systems.
• Provide escalation support for junior team members and training as required.
• May perform duties as a Contract Task Manager (CTM) for TI work.
• Tracks and reports status on day-to-day and project activities.
