Qualifications

• Minimum BS or BT in Metallurgy or Materials Science or related field plus two years’ professional-level experience in metallurgy, materials, or nondestructive testing (penetrant, ultrasonics, radiography).
• Associate’s degree may substitute for two years of education with related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct NDT series including UT, RT, PT and MT at Levels I and II per SNT-TC-1A. Teach metallurgy, materials testing, welding, and related topics.
• Establish relationships with local industry and schools.
• Collaborate with Industry and High School partners to research labor market needs and occupational demand.
• Advise students on progression and other needs.
• Evaluate students in classroom and lab and compile reports.
