Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard in New York, NY to safeguard visitors, staff, and assets within a cultural institution setting. You will enforce site procedures, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, researchers, and vendors by following security procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures to protect collections and sensitive areas.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and professionally, notifying needed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of galleries, offices, entrances, and the perimeter.
• Document observations and security-related activities accurately in systems.
