Job summary

MedStar Radiology Network is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a Part-time Flex position at our outpatient imaging center in Timonium, MD. 3 days per week, 10:30am–7pm, with shift differential pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

The MRI Technologist will perform routine to complex MRI procedures, ensure safety, and collaborate with radiologists. Up to 5 years of experience and ARRT/ARMIT registration are required, with MR advanced registry within 12 months for IDTF centers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment and related ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide accurate and concise documentation.
• Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and radiology terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine to complex MR procedures and generates images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Maintains safety and ALARA principles during imaging.
• Verifies orders, prepares patients, and monitors during procedures.
• Provides education to patients and staff and participates in QA efforts.
• Assists in imaging center operations and performance improvement activities.
