Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist for a part-time role within our imaging team. You will provide magnetic resonance imaging services with compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, obtaining high-quality images, preparing patients, and on-call duties. Florida CRT, ARRT MR, and a 2-year Radiologic Technology program are required, along with BLS and strong patient communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• 1-3 years MRI Technologist experience.
• Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) credentials.
• Current BLS certification.

Job Summary and Qualifications

MRI Technologist (part-time)

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. MRI Technologist duties include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment

• Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation

• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material

• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated

• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

• You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases

• Keep room(s) stocked with necessary supplies

• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
• 1-3 years previous MRI Technologist experience
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Valid ARRT (R) + ARRT (MR) credentials
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, and clerical skills
• Must be able to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
