Job summary

HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a PRN/per diem basis to provide high-quality magnetic resonance imaging services. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and precise imaging for accurate interpretation.

The MRI Technologist will operate equipment, select proper factors, administer contrast when appropriate, and support the radiologist through meticulous documentation and patient positioning.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry required (active)
• Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) required
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to read and follow complex instructions

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and perform quality imaging.
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients for procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; obtain consent and document information.
• Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.
• On-call responsibilities as needed to provide care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

MRI Technologist - PRN/Per Diem

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.

As an MRI Technologist your duties include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment


• Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation


• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material


• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated


• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time


• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist


• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies


• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications

• · Valid American Registry or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry


• · Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)


• · Associate's degree


• · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


• · Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, clerical skills


• · Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
