Job summary

Community College of Allegheny County is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanning. The position is part-time and in-person, across College sites, with radiography certification and active AART standing required.

Two years of clinical supervision or teaching in an accredited Radiography Program are required, as well as a BA/BS degree. Strong communication skills and willingness to travel to clinical affiliates are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have two years clinical supervision of student radiographers or teaching experience in an accredited Radiography Program recognized by a RAA or the JRCERT.
• Must have personal transportation and be willing to travel to and from clinical affiliates as assigned.
• Adjunct faculty clinical instructors must have a BA or BS degree in any discipline.
• Applicants are expected to have strong communication skills, teaching experience, and knowledge of industry software and systems, with applicable certifications.
• Degrees must be from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course outlines and learning objectives; measure outcomes and maintain grade records.
• Create an effective learning environment using varied instructional methods.
• Collaborate on learning outcomes for program reviews and curriculum revision.
• Work with faculty to complete scheduled program reviews and revise curriculum.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in discipline and pedagogy.
• Attend department, campus, and college meetings and committees.
• Contribute to college projects, surveys, and reports related to the discipline.
• Assist in developing program/discipline promotional materials.
• Support the college's goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
