Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care under the supervision of an RN. Duties include daily living assistance, monitoring vital signs, and supporting meals and activities.

Qualifications include CNA certification or enrollment within four months, a high school diploma or GED, and a minimum age of 16. Weekend availability and a driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have CNA certification or be in process within four months.
• Minimum age 16.
• Annual 12 hours of continuing education required.
• Potential Sanford Driver role may require valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and daily living activities.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident condition.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning and walking using safe techniques.
• Assist with meals and dining to create a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in committees as needed.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

High school diploma or GED preferred

Minimum age 16

State CNA certification within 4 months

Continuing education 12 hours annually

Driver’s license (possible requirement)
