Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care on the day shift (6:00am–2:30pm). The role includes bathing, meals, vital signs, and helping residents stay independent within the care plan.

Must be a Minnesota- certified CNA or start certification within four months; benefit from a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. 24 weekly hours with occasional weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Must have active CNA certification or be in training to obtain it within 4 months.
• Annual competency testing and at least 12 hours of continuing education.
• State CNA certification or eligibility and registry requirements.
• May classify as Sanford Category II Driver with valid license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs.
• Support transfers, mobility, and ROM exercises; document care and changes.
• Maintain infection prevention and PPE compliance.
• Assist with meals and dining; participate in wellness and recreational activities.
