Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for evening, part-time shifts. The NA provides resident-centered care, supports daily living activities, and assists with basic health care tasks under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, meals, vital signs, and documentation, while upholding infection control policies. A CNA certification is required, with orientation and ongoing education provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques; provide ROM and passive exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining; ensure positive dining experience and provide water and supplements as appropriate.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse; collect vital signs.
