Job summary

Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Bethlehem, PA, seeks a part-time Mobile Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist) to collect blood donations from volunteers in a compassionate, professional manner. The position offers an anticipated starting salary of $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, with benefits including dental/vision, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities include providing exceptional donor experiences, processing donors through screening and phlebotomy, and maintaining

Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.
6 months' experience in a Blood Center or other Healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
1 year's experience in customer service is strongly preferred.
Ability to interact with diverse people and communicate (verbal, written, and listening) fluently in English.
Proficient with basic computer skills and office tools, such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Utilize job experience and knowledge to provide exceptional donor experiences.
Process donors through their donor process (screening and whole blood phlebotomy, and automated collections when appropriate).
Take personal responsibility for donor safety, complying with all Blood Center standard procedures and other regulatory standards.
Set-up all supplies and equipment, completion of daily QC, and assure all equipment and supplies are available before the collection event.
