Job summary

Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Bethlehem, PA, seeks a part-time Mobile Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist) to collect blood donations from volunteers in a compassionate, professional manner. The position offers an anticipated starting salary of $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, with benefits including dental/vision, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.
• 6 months' experience in a Blood Center or other Healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
• 1 year's experience in customer service is strongly preferred.
• Ability to interact with diverse people and communicate (verbal, written, and listening) fluently in English.
• Proficient with basic computer skills and office tools, such as Microsoft Office.

The Part-time Mobile Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist) position supports the Blood Center by collecting blood donations (blood and blood products) safely from volunteer donors in a compassionate and professional manner. What you will be doing:

• Utilize job experience and knowledge to provide exceptional donor experiences.


• Ability to utilize all computer systems to process donors through their donor process (screening and whole blood phlebotomy, and automated collections when appropriate).


• Take personal responsibility for donor safety, complying with all Blood Center standard procedures and other regulatory standards.

Additional information:

This position reports directly to the Mobile Collections Manager at the Bethlehem, PA Blood center location.

The hours for this part-time position are 6:30am to 5:00pm on Fridays, and 6:30am-3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Training for this position will require full-time hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm Mondays-Friday for the first three months of employment.

A schedule is provided one-two weeks in advance.

The first month of training will take place onsite at our blood center at 1465 Valley Center Parkway Bethlehem, PA.
