Job summary

Cambrian College’s Corporate Training department seeks a casual part-time Instructor to teach within the Mine Hoist Plant Certificate Program. The role involves delivering six two-day modules to workers in the mining industry and may require travel to client sites in Canada and the United States.

The successful candidate will hold a postsecondary diploma in mining or a related trades certification, with at least ten years of mine hoist experience.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary diploma in mining or trades certification related to Mine Hoist operations.
• Ten years of work experience in a mine hoist environment.
• Proven ability to lead, think critically, and communicate professionally.
• Ability to be an effective classroom role model and to use creative teaching approaches.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Teach the Mine Hoist Plant Certificate Program, six two-day modules.
• Deliver training at client locations in Canada and the United States.
• Support student progress using current teaching methods.
