Job summary

Cambrian College’s School of Skills Training is seeking part-time professors to teach Machining in the Industrial Millwright Technician program starting in September 2026. Qualified applicants bring extensive machining experience and a Red Seal, with strong communication and classroom leadership.

Candidates must provide educational documents, WES/ICAS equivalence if from outside Canada, and a Certificate of Qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience with General Machining in an Industrial Millwright setting.
• Five years of relevant work experience.
• Red Seal 429A required; other qualifications 430A, 630TA considered.
• Submit educational documents and WES/ICAS equivalence if degrees from outside Canada.
• Certificate of Qualification (Interprovincial Red Seal) required.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to teach, be a role model, and adapt teaching methods.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with General Machining within an Industrial Millwright setting (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application )
• 429A Red Seal Qualifications, other qualifications to be considered 430A, 630TA
• Five years of relevant work experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be an effective role model in the classroom.
• Ability to use creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student progress.
• Possess good organizational skills and sound computer software skills.
• Ability to function within a team environment

Additional Assets/Preferred

• Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
