Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Bowling Green store, is seeking a Part-Time Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution. You will own workload planning, planogram compliance, and in-stock routines while leading in-store execution and customer-ready standards.

You will manage truck and backroom processes, price changes, and Ship from Store fulfillment, with a focus on loss prevention and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand long periods and move throughout the store.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards; hold team accountable.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage; maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution: unloading, sorting and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Manage inventory control, product accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time; maintain pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment; orders picked, packed and shipped.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving; inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures; shrink reduction.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and development.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices.
