Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Sandusky, OH seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will lead SOP adherence, store policy execution, and Manager-on-Duty coverage, while guiding staff in workload planning, in-stock optimization, pricing changes, and ship-from-store fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, customer-ready store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, stock movement, pricing integrity, and shrink reduction.
• Execute ad sets, price changes, and ship-from-store fulfillment.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in asset protection practices to reduce shrink.
