Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Newport, KY is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead merchandising and store operations, ensuring accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready environment.

You will supervise SOP adherence, planogram execution, stock integrity, and team development while coordinating with store leadership to meet business goals. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced retail setting, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading SOP adherence and company programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and program adherence.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual standards.
• Maintain backroom and sales floor organization.
• Manage inventory accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets and price changes on time.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processes.
• Manage damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and coach team members.
• Partner in Asset Protection practices.
