Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a part-time Merchandise Manager at our Conroe, TX location. You will support store leadership in merchandising, inventory control, and on-floor execution to ensure a customer-ready environment.

Responsibilities include leading truck processing, planogram compliance, price changes, and shipping-from-store fulfillment while maintaining high service standards and adherence to SOPs. Night/early shifts and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Customer-focused and service-driven.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and enforcing SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Ensure execution of company standards and hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage to maintain floor leadership, service standards and continuity.
• Lead truck execution processes for unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership to align staffing and execution to business needs.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards to company expectations.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment including backroom and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, damage procedures, and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
