Job summary

New Narrative in Portland, OR is seeking a part-time Residential Support Specialist to join our mental health residential programs. The role supports residents with daily living skills, safety, and coordinated care within a multidisciplinary team.

The RSS helps residents achieve personal goals, assists with activities of daily living, and participates in group activities and crisis interventions, while following Oregon Admin Rules and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and capable of implementing emergency procedures and disaster plan.
• Must be able to administer CPR and Naloxone.
• Must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living tasks and life skills.
• Participate in team-based care and staff meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention using nonviolent de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with medication management and documentation.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly living environment.
