Job summary

Unitek EMT in Fresno, CA is seeking a Mental Health BSN Nursing Instructor to join the Workforce Solutions program. The instructor will provide clinical site education to students, supervise clinical experiences, and deliver skills lab instruction in alignment with the established curriculum.

Hours vary with clinical rotations and skills labs, including days, evenings or weekends. California BRN licensure required; master’s in nursing or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Eligible for approval by CA BRN as Instructor for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing, education, or administration, and academic preparation for the subject they teach to be considered as Assignment Faculty; or BSN and currently enrolled in a Master’s program may be considered for a Clinical Teaching Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide Clinical site education to students enrolled at the assigned Workforce Solutions Program site.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experience in assigned health care facilities.
• Evaluates student performance in relation to clinical learning outcomes.
• Provide feedback of clinical performance after observation.
• Maintain student records and assist with programmatic data collection.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material.
