Job summary

Jefferson Lodge in Oregon is seeking a Cook to join a resident-focused team. You’ll prepare nutritious meals for residents, work in a supportive kitchen, and build relationships with the community while meeting dietary needs.

The role requires 2+ years in nutrition and institutional cooking, reliable transportation, and a punctual, compassionate approach. Part-time schedule 9:30am–5:30pm, Sunday to Tuesday, with weekends required; salary $19.00–$21.00/hour, with benefits from Cascade Living

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in nutrition, food preparation, safe food handling techniques and food service management.
• Experience working in institutional cooking including mechanical, pureed, finger food and renal diets.
• Reliable transportation and dependable when it comes to showing up on time.
• Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner.
• Quick learner who is able to master working with various types of equipment.
