Silverado The Huntington in California is seeking a skilled Cook to join the memory care culinary team. This part-time role covers Saturday and Sunday, preparing meals for residents while ensuring dietary needs, quality, and timely service are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English.
• Ability to read and follow menus and recipes, including substitutions.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Comfortable working around animals and pets.
