Job summary

Sunol Creek Memory Care in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Part-Time Cook to craft fresh, flavorful meals for residents and to help create meaningful moments each day. You’ll join a caring senior living community committed to excellence and teamwork.

Shifts run 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with weekend coverage required. This role emphasizes safety, compassion, and collaboration with dining staff, leadership, and residents to ensure quality service and pleasant dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on cooking or culinary experience.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and passion for serving seniors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to help with cleanup and maintain a safe, organized kitchen.
• Availability to work weekends and scheduled shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Delicious Meals: Create fresh, flavorful dishes that residents look forward to enjoying.
• Make Meals Personal: Learn residents’ preferences and dietary needs to make each dining experience special.
• Support the Team: Work closely with dining staff and community leadership to provide smooth, friendly service.
• Maintain a Safe Kitchen: Assist with cleanup and keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Celebrate Together: Help prepare meals for community events, holidays, and special gatherings.
