The Upstate SC LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time Membership Coordinator to manage the member lifecycle, onboarding, engagement, renewals, and data records. This remote, 1099 contract role requires independence, strong communication, and a focus on inclusivity for LGBT+ and allied businesses in the Upstate region.
You will serve as the primary contact for membership questions, monitor expirations, maintain CRM records, and support billing and revenue efforts.

Location: Remote; must be located in the Upstate South Carolina area and available for occasional local events
Position Type: Part-time independent contractor (1099), approximately 20-25 hours per week
Reports To: Board President and Executive Board Committee

Through membership, programming, and community partnerships, the Chamber helps members grow, connect, and thrive.
The Chamber seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and data-informed Part-Time Membership Coordinator who is committed to its mission and to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for LGBT+ and allied businesses and professionals. This role oversees the member lifecycle from inquiry and onboarding through engagement, renewal, and reactivation; serves as the primary administrative contact; maintains member and billing records; supports revenue initiatives; monitors membership trends; and assists with communications and events. The ideal candidate is relationship-focused, detail-oriented, able to work independently in a remote setting, and based in Upstate South Carolina.
This remote, 1099 contract position averages approximately 20 hours per week. The Membership Coordinator may set their own schedule but must remain reasonably available during standard business hours for member support, board coordination, and urgent needs. Occasional evening or in-person attendance at local events may be required. The Membership Coordinator must have reliable access to a personal laptop, phone, and reliable Wi-Fi for daily work.
