Job summary

Northbrook Park District is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative for Techny Prairie Activity Center (TPAC) in Northbrook, IL 60062. The role is part-time and non-exempt, with hours that may include evenings or weekends and potential IMRF position.

Responsibilities include member transactions, registrations, facility reservations, and providing exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and by email. Strong communication and cash handling skills are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred? (from posting)
• Experience in customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform membership, registration, and facility reservation operations using registration software to process member and guest transactions; transactions are accepted online, via email, in-person or by mail.
• Explain registration procedures and provide correct information regarding programs, classes, events and facilities.
• Welcome members and guests with a positive attitude and assist with inquiries and issues; relay concerns to staff and supervisors as needed.
• Assist members and guests with a member-first mindset and promote District programs to meet their needs.
• Respond to inquiries by phone, in person, and email promptly and accurately; may help with phone inquiries for other Park District locations.
• Balance cash reports daily and accurately handle all monetary transactions; run registration reports per cash handling procedures.
• Monitor facility access to ensure only checked-in members/guests use the fitness center.
• Provide general administrative support and assist TPAC staff as needed.
• Maintain safety of fitness equipment and assist visitors with basic equipment usage.
