Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science with internship.
• ASCP Technologist certification or eligibility required/preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience across multiple laboratory disciplines preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes independent judgment in performing routine and complex laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• Prioritizes and evaluates varying test requests efficiently.
• Follow procedures for collecting and processing biological specimens.
• Performs analytical testing procedures with accuracy and precision.
• Interprets testing results in relation to disease and physiology, integrating data to resolve issues.
• Implements and monitors quality control, new equipment, and methods.
• Maintains organized and clean work area and attends to tasks efficiently.
• Participates in education efforts of the department.
• Provides care considering age-specific needs of patients served.
• Performs other duties as required.
