Job summary

Methodist Medical Group in Dallas seeks a Medical Scribe to support providers during patient visits. You will assist with dictations, enter information into the EHR, and help streamline clinic flow.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3–6 months related experience, and basic MS Outlook/Office skills. A medical assistant certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months related experience.
• Certificate from medical assistant program preferred.
• Typing 45 WPM and basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to patients by listening and appropriately serving patients.
• Relays relevant information to the appropriate internal staff.
• Assists the provider in navigating the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Enters information into the EHR as directed by the provider.
• Researches information as requested by the provider.
• Responds to various messages as requested by the provider.
• Assists physicians/physician assistants with documenting patient care in the EHR and ensuring services ordered are coded.
• Participates in office meetings and educational activities.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and keeps work area neat and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.
