Job summary

Gastro Care Partners in Casper, WY, is seeking a compassionate part-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support providers, assist with procedures, and help ensure a welcoming, informative patient experience throughout visits.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting in the EMR, coordinating workflows, and providing clear post-procedure instructions while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Medical Assistant certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong computer and typing skills with accurate real-time documentation.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with EMR systems and healthcare IT.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and clinic policies and procedures.
• Must pass a drug test (Marijuana).

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures; record vitals and histories.
• Assist physicians and RNs with patient care and clinical procedures as needed.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions and answer patient questions.
• Document patient encounters in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient charts and support provider workflows and chart management.
• Coordinate referrals, orders, test results, and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain exam areas, stock supplies, and assist with front-office duties as needed.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety policies.
