Job summary

Banner Medical Group in Casper, WY is hiring a Medical Assistant to join a busy primary care team. You will work closely with providers, room patients, take vitals, and educate patients on test results and care plans.

The role requires completion of an approved MA program, active MA certification, and BLS. You will perform basic in-office procedures, document visits, and coordinate tests and referrals in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required; examples include RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NCCT.
• BLS certification required.
• Requires proficiency with medical software and strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs as needed.
• Coordinate patient care with referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicate test results to patients.
• Maintain complete medical records and ensure accurate billing information for encounters.
• Maintain a clean and disinfected clinical environment and proper handling of supplies.
• Order and stock supplies; manage medication recalls and expiration checks.
• Develop effective communication with patients, families, and external partners; support team-oriented care.
• Complete onboarding activities including orientation and simulation training.
• Work under direct supervision of providers and interact with multiple staff and patients.
