OakLeaf Clinics in Chippewa Falls, WI is seeking a part-time Medical Office Assistant to support front desk and patient intake. Shifts include Tuesdays 5pm-8pm and every 3rd weekend 8am-2pm, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts at Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls clinics.

The role requires greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, processing paperwork, and entering data into EMR, while coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience or training.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and visitors
• Verify patient demographics and insurance at visits
• Collect information to meet Meaningful Use for EMR
• Scan patient information into EMR
• Obtain authorization for medical records release (HIPAA)
• Schedule follow-up appointments after visits
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness
• Assist other medical staff as needed
• Read clinic communications and act promptly
• Perform other duties as assigned by clinic manager
• Work a flexible schedule based on demand
