Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technology) or related discipline is required.
• Certification by ASCP or equivalent is required and must be passed within 18 months of hire.
• Ability to read, speak and write English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collect appropriate specimen samples as required.
• Ensure specimen identification is accurate when aliquoting specimens and resulting tests.
• Demonstrates competency in performance of analytical laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids or specimens according to laboratory policy.
• Evaluates test results in light of the patient’s clinical condition and analytical testing conditions according to laboratory policy.
