Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Haven Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Med Tech for an evening shift. The role covers 40 hours per week with weekend and rotating holidays, and may include covering 3rd shifts as needed.

A Bachelor's degree and ASCP certification are required, along with English proficiency. You will perform analyses on blood, urine, stool, and body fluids, maintain quality, and evaluate results within clinical contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technology) or related discipline.
• Registry or Certification by ASCP or equivalent required; employment contingent on passing within 18 months.
• Ability to read, speak and write English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collect appropriate specimen samples as required.
• Ensure specimen identification is accurate when aliquoting specimens and resulting tests.
• Demonstrates competency in performance of analytical laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids or specimens according to laboratory policy.
• Evaluates test results in light of the patient’s clinical condition and analytical testing conditions according to laboratory policy.
