Job summary

Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS-MT to join our Clinical Lab team. This part-time role (0.8 FTE) offers varied shifts, weekend rotation, and a sign-on bonus up to $4,000.

The candidate will perform laboratory analyses, interpret results, and assist in maintaining laboratory systems while supervising other laboratorians. ASCP MLS/MT certification within 12 months of hire is required or encouraged for non-certified hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education/training per ASCP alternate routes.
• ASCP MLS/MT certification within 12 months of hire; or, if hired before 2004, MLT certification with later exam requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis and report results promptly and accurately.
• Evaluate results and troubleshoot basic problems; supervise other laboratory staff.
• Assist in maintenance of laboratory systems and equipment.
