The position requires a Medical Technology degree and ASCP certification eligibility, with responsibilities spanning pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic workflows in a clinical laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science required.
• ASCP certification or eligibility required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytic workflow to ensure correct orders and specimen handling.
• Verifies orders and non-patient information according to protocol.
• Handles unresolved orders and Troubleshoots issues in LIS workflows.
• Collects, receives and processes specimens; ensures proper labeling and adequacy for tests.
• Performs analytic testing according to SOPs; maintains instrument quality and preventive maintenance.
• Performs post-analytic duties including result verification, reporting and record keeping.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in training and development activities.
