Job summary

Select Medical in Dickson, TN is seeking a Part Time Patient Service Specialist to greet, register, and assist patients at the front desk. You will schedule appointments, communicate with various partners, and handle co-pays and insurance verifications, contributing to a smooth patient experience at the outpatient PT center.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of front desk experience; medical office experience and insurance verification skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of front desk experience required.
• Preferred: 1 year of medical office experience.
• Preferred: Insurance verification experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
