Community Options, Inc. in Binghamton, NY is seeking a Part‑Time Medical Coordinator to plan, track, and ensure that all clients’ needs are met within appropriate time frames. The Medical Coordinator will schedule all annual, follow‑up, and emergency medical appointments and communicate with medical staff, program specialists, supervisors, and program directors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all client medical appointments to state mandated licensing regulations.
• Observe and monitor the client’s status through paperwork and follow‑up appointments.
• Observe and track clients' physical care including, but not limited to, annual and emergency appointments.
• Provide accurate, timely, and consistent documentation of client medical appointments in the appropriate records.
• Attend all pertinent medical appointments that need to be addressed more clearly and precisely to achieve the best results for the individual.
• Communicate with supervisors, co‑workers, and medical professionals’ regarding clients’ status.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
