Job summary

Hill College is seeking an Adjunct/Part-Time Instructor to teach Medical Billing and Coding. The instructor will deliver engaging lessons, evaluate student progress, and uphold academic standards in line with the college's mission.

Requirements include an associate degree or higher and recent Medical Coder experience. Teaching in higher education and medical training are preferred. This role reports to the Coordinator in the Job Training and Workforce Partnerships department.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Recent Medical Coder experience within the last 3 years.
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
• Medical training (RN or Allied Health) needed for some contexts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction meeting course objectives.
• Clearly communicate course requirements and grading standards to students.
• Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.
• Engage students through discussions and professional expertise.
• Stay current with industry publications and participate in professional organizations.
