Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of medical coding experience.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC certification such as CPA/CCS/CPC or comparable.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Medical Coding courses at various times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons and real-world examples.
• Submits required reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Prepares a syllabus and develops lesson plans per guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students by appointment or electronically.
• Evaluates student progress and communicates outcomes.
• Maintains professional relationships with students and colleagues.
• Attends meetings and trainings and responds to communications.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
