Lone Star College-CyFair seeks part-time adjunct faculty to teach Medical Assisting courses across various times and locations. The role emphasizes engaging lessons, adherence to syllabi, and timely reporting.

You will advise students, evaluate progress, and collaborate with colleagues while maintaining professional relationships in a supportive learning environment. The position supports flexible scheduling with day, evening, and weekend classes, and requires a Bachelor’s or Associate degree

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree with certification in medical assisting or associate degree in medical assisting related field with certification in medical assisting, and 3 years non-teaching work experience in the field

Mansioni

• Teaches Medical Assisting courses at a variety of times and locations
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner
• Utilizes a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
• Meets with and advises students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
• Evaluates students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and informs students in a timely manner of their progress
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
• Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
• Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
