Lone Star College-CyFair seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Medical Coding courses across a range of times and locations. You will create engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world examples and prepare course syllabi and lesson plans following college guidelines.

You will meet with students to advise them, assess progress, and participate in professional development activities. A high school diploma with three years of coding experience and AHIMA/AAPC certification are required.

Responsabilidades

• Teaches Medical Coding courses at a variety of times and locations
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material to real world examples
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner
• Prepares a course syllabus for each course and develops lesson plans following institutional guidelines
• Meets with and advises students before or after class or by appointment
• Conducts formal and informal evaluations of students to measure progress
• Maintains professional relationship with students, colleagues, and the community
• Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations; responds to communications in a timely manner
• Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
