Job summary

Georgia Oncology and Hematology Consultants is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in the office, perform phlebotomy, and conduct laboratory testing with careful quality control and accurate documentation in the EMR system.

You will collect specimens, document vitals and patient information, and assist with procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards across multiple clinic locations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification or as required by state (as applicable).
• One year of medical assistant experience in clinic/physician office with venipuncture skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests.
• Maintain QC/QA records and equipment logs.
• Document results and process in EMR accurately.
• Handle specimen processing and transport per protocol.
• Prepare patient for procedures and document vitals.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
