Job summary

UHS is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant for its Temecula, CA location. The role supports physicians with patient care, takes vital signs, prepares exam rooms, and assists with front-desk duties.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant certificate, familiarity with medical terminology, and experience with patient check-in/out. Experience with medical office procedures and cash handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and one year experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• Understanding of end-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (clinic protocol).

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedures within the scope of practice in the State.
• Documenting in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guidelines.
• Prepping treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Assisting with front‑desk coverage as required.
• Attending mandatory meetings.
• Working at least 2 major holidays.
• Floating to other APLUS locations based on business needs.
• Work schedule: Saturday/Sunday 8:45 am–5:00 pm and Monday/Friday 11:30 am–8:00 pm.
