Scripps Clinic Mission Valley is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support front desk and clinical duties in Internal Medicine. Schedule Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 8:30am–5:30pm, with benefits. The role combines patient care with administrative tasks, including rooming patients, taking vitals, EPIC documentation, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• Formal Medical Assistant program completion or MA certification or 2+ years as a military corpsman.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Dual clinical and administrative duties.
• Room patients, check vitals, assist with procedures.
• Clinic prep per provider protocols.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Document patient concerns and care in EMR.
• Schedule appointments and procedures.
• Assist with medication administration as directed by physician.
• Rotate and support pediatrics.
