Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for day shift. You will room patients, measure vitals, assist with procedures and immunizations, and document all interactions in the EMR under provider supervision.

The role requires completion of an accredited MA program and CMA or RMA certification within the first year, with BLS certification or training within three months of hire. This position emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care in a community clinic.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• CMA or RMA certification must be obtained within first year of employment.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
• BLS for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, and assist with procedures and immunizations.
• Maintain aseptic technique for preparation, procedures and medications.
• Accurately document all patient interactions in the EMR.
• Assist with interpretation of results and communicate with health care team.
• Follow clinic protocols for payor regulations and care coordination.
