Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $25.62 – $34.58 per hour, with a hiring bonus possible.

The MA will work with physicians/providers to support patient care within MA scope of practice. Essential duties include patient preparation, room setup, injections, wound care, EMR data entry, and coordination of tests and appointments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to obtain WA State MA Certification or Interim credential accepted.
• Caregiver must obtain CMA (Non-Interim) within 12 months of interim credential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and record vital signs.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Administer injections and apply dressings under provider orders.
• Assist with scheduling tests and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain patient files and data entry into EMR.
• Provide phone screening to route to clinical staff.
